As you may be aware in 2021, the City of London Corporation consulted on proposals to implement a series of improvements to Finsbury Circus Gardens which seek to retain its character as a green haven, refresh and enrich the planting, and carefully integrate new paths and seating with the aim of creating a more inviting place for the local community to relax and enjoy.
Following approval, City of London Corporation are now in a position to implement these works and contractors are due to begin on site on Monday 20th November 2023. The works are scheduled to take approximately one year to complete with the Gardens scheduled to re-open in early-Winter 2024.
The City of London Corporation are committed to keeping close neighbours informed of the progress of the works. Therefore, a dedicated Community Liaison website has been launched to provide information on the approved proposals, updates from the contractor, and contact details should neighbours need to get in touch with the project team. I also attach a copy of the letter that has been posted to residents and business which includes some additional guidance on parking bay suspensions that will be required for the duration of the project.
