As part of our Pride season, Broadgate are proud to host the new photography exhibition #CorporateQueer. Filled with beautiful pictures by photographer Fiona Freund and telling stories celebrating LGBT+ professionals in the City of London, this is an event not to be missed. Free and open to the public, #CorporateQueer will be shown at 3 Finsbury Avenue in Broadgate from 10th-24th September 2021.
A deeply honest, wonderfully captured and extraordinarily candid insight into professionals who want to celebrate their own ‘queerness’ or that of their allies and colleagues, the photography exhibition will be accompanied by a book and a campaign designed to champion LGBT+ professionals and inspire, empower and initiate change.
With 50+ large portraits of individuals and groups of LGBT+ people and their allies, each photo is accompanied by 200-300 words written by the subject about their work/life experience. There are plans to show the photographs inside and out, to project them onto landmark buildings and to share these images through the City of London and beyond so it becomes a major Pride celebration in the Square Mile this September.
20% of LGBT+ people still aren’t “out” in their place of work. 70% of LGBT+ people have been sexually harassed at work and 50% of transgender employees hide their identify for fear of discrimination at work. The City of London thrives when people feel they can bring their authentic self to their place of work.
