The Royal British Legion have been commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings, known as D-Day, at Liverpool Street Station today.
They were joined by a number of veterans who were collecting funds for the Poppy Appeal charity. You can read more about this year’s appeal here: Poppy Appeal | Armed Forces Charity | Royal British Legion
Visitors to Liverpool Street have always generously supported this appeal and the Station is also used annually for a Service of Remembrance, with lots of tributes erected within the Victorian station itself.
Well done to all involved. Lest We Forget.
