Landsec invites local Bishopsgate workers, businesses and residents to participate in a series of think tank events for the design of new public realm surrounding 55 Old Broad Street.
The first event will take place on Wednesday the 26th October at 55 Old Broad Street. This drop in evening of art, music and creativity will take place from 4:00pm-8:30pm and will feature an exhibition of our early ideas for the site to encourage your feedback.
Make Happy will lead an interactive workshop using Lego models, bringing public realm possibilities to life, whilst artist Kethi Copeland will be hosting a sketching workshop and exhibition with a focus on the built environment and the cityscape. Cockpit Studios, host to some of London’s most exciting maker’s spaces and workshops, will be sharing their vision for a creative hub in Old Broad Street.
The Landsec team will talk guests through the plans for the future scheme, which is designed to generate activity and amenity through curated retail and improved public realm, promoting well-being and enhancing connectivity to the city. Through these plans, there is a desire to make important contributions to the local community of people who spend time in the area through social impact, cultural programming and the immediate and future use of a highly flexible space.
