Epping Forest: Walking App Launched

This morning I was delighted to join colleagues from Epping Forest District Council, Epping Forest Heritage Trust and the Charles French Charitable Trust to launch the new Epping Forest Walks mobile phone app.

The app, which has been created by the Heritage Trust with the input and support of multiple community partners, means that anyone can now download the app on an iPhone or Android device and let the GPS technology lead them around some of the key walking trails within the Forest. It will also give key information about the Forest and guidance on local public transport.

You can download the Epping Forest Walks app below:
👉 Google Play Store (Andriod) : Epping Forest Walks – Apps on Google Play
👉 App Store (iOS): Epping Forest Walks on the App Store (apple.com)

For those who don’t have access to mobile phones or aren’t as great with technology, we still have our traditional waymarked walking trail maps available and other map available in our Visitor Centres.

Well done to the Epping Forest Heritage Trust for leading this innovation project forward and opening the Forest up to a whole new generation of users.
